BuildLog is provided by Mallang Studios (Chaewon Kim). taezpark.com is a separate promotional site and is not the seller of the app. This document describes the current BuildLog app. It is not legal advice.

We designed BuildLog to keep your data on your device and to minimize whatever leaves it. This policy explains what we process, when, and why. The provider is established in Germany.

1. Summary

• Your kits, pages, photos, sections, tags, purchase records, and saved shops are stored on your device.
• If you are signed in to iCloud, that library data syncs through your personal iCloud account (Apple), not our servers.
• Translation and scanning run on your device and send nothing to us.
• We do not operate cloud AI in this version. No page image or extracted text is sent to an AI provider.
• We do not sell your data. We do not track you across apps or websites. We do not build advertising profiles.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

Created and stored locally (and synced via your iCloud account if iCloud is enabled for the App):

• Kit details (name, tags) and box or cover images.
• Scanned page images and derived data (crops, adjustments, thumbnails).
• Sections, notes, progress, bookmarks, and ratings.
• Purchase candidates and purchase records you save.
• Saved web shops and map places, including categories you create.
• App settings (for example, theme and backup preferences, translation language).

Stored only on this device (not in iCloud or in a backup file yet):

• Profile display name and avatar photo.

Finished-work gallery photos are stored on your device and in iCloud with the kit library. They are not included in the local backup file yet.

We do not have access to this data unless you explicitly send it to us (for example, in a support email).

3. iCloud Sync

If you are signed in to iCloud and iCloud is enabled for BuildLog, library data syncs through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) under your Apple ID. This is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We do not receive or control your iCloud-stored data. You can turn iCloud off for the App in iOS Settings.

4. Backups

The App can create manual and optional automatic backups as files on this device. A backup holds kits, page photos, sections, tags, purchase records, and saved shops. It does not yet include finished-work photos or your profile name and photo.

Backups stay on your device until you export them (Files, AirDrop, or another share destination you choose). We do not receive your backups.

5. Translation

Translation uses Apple's on-device Translation and Vision features. The text being translated does not leave your device for this purpose and is not sent to us.

6. Camera and Photos

The App uses the camera to scan guidebooks and box art, to take a profile photo, and to photograph finished work. It may access your photo library when you import or save images. These are used only to create your kit, profile, or gallery content on your device. Permission prompts are shown before access.

7. Location

Explore Maps can use your location while you use the App to show how far a saved or searched hobby shop is from you. Accuracy is limited to about one hundred metres. Location is used on the device only. We do not receive, store, or sell location data. You can decline the prompt and still search by city or area.

8. Share to BuildLog

When you use the Share to BuildLog extension from Safari, the App reads the page you shared on your device to suggest a product title, price, and photo. Only the candidate you confirm is saved to your library and, if iCloud is on, to your iCloud account. The page is not uploaded to our servers. We do not collect cookies, login sessions, or payment details from the page.

9. Diagnostics

The App does not collect analytics or its own crash reports. If you enable Share with App Developers in iOS Settings, Apple may send Apple crash diagnostics. That path is controlled by Apple, not by a tracker we embed.

10. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. Data may be handled by:

• Apple — iCloud sync, Maps search, on-device translation and vision, and the App Store.
• You — when you export a backup or share a finished photo.
• When required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not share data with advertising networks or analytics SDKs.

11. Data Retention and Deletion

• Local data remains until you delete it (delete a kit or photo, or delete the App).
• iCloud data is controlled by you through your Apple ID.
• You can delete any kit, page, shop, or backup at any time within the App.
• There is no BuildLog account to delete. Removing the App and your iCloud BuildLog data removes what we never held on our servers.

12. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age required by your jurisdiction (for example, 13 in the US). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

13. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, or to object to certain processing. Because most data is stored locally under your control, you can exercise many of these rights directly in the App. For others, contact us at support@tzbuildlog.com.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be indicated by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
